What the Michigan minimum means
50/100/10 means $50,000 of bodily injury coverage per person, $100,000 per accident and $10,000 for property damage. Michigan also requires: Personal injury protection (you choose a level); property protection insurance $1 million. A serious crash can easily cost more than the minimum, and you are personally responsible for the difference.
